Skills we gained

Date: 30th November 2011

During the production of our Soap Trailer 'Engayne Avenue' we gained a number of skills which we can then all use effectively in the future. The first set of skills we developed were the use of technology. We created and then developed a blog. Throughout the research for 'Engayne Avenue' were using the internet. Finally, we then used an editing programme on a friends laptop where we could fully develop and finish our trailer. The next set of skills we gained were personal skills. This was teaching us to research and then effectively plan our project from start to finish. Furthermore, we all had to work well as a team making sure every one of our opinions were taken into consideration. Additionally, then came decision making. We also all gained creativity skills for when we were designing the storyboard, posters and the invitation. We also learnt a great detail about layout especially when it came to the poster. One of the main skills we learnt was time management and organisation. At times it was a struggle due to our actors but we overcame the issue and learnt from our mistakes. Finally, we were able to right a full evaluation of our soap trailer and complete the whole project.

Invitation Design 1

Date: 28th November 2011

The image of the star will need to be moved to the centre of the word 'golden'.
The time and date will need to be inserted when finalised.
We may also add an image in for effect.

Feedback Planning

Date: 28th November 2011

For our evaluation we require to have an audience give feedback on our soap promotion package. Therefore, we are holding a preview event in which we shall hand out questionnaires asking questions on our trailer, poster and magazine front cover.
Today Hannah designed our questionnaire while Laura created our invitations.

Risk Assessment

Date: 31st October 2011

Risk Assessment Sheet

Working Title: Engayne Avenue

Writer/ Director: Hannah Jeffs, Laura Perry, Dale Stacey

Date: 16th October 2011

Location: School

Possible Hazards

Risk: Level of Risk (high/ low)

Fingers getting trapped in doors Low

Water spilt on floor, then slipping Medium

Bags which can cause people to trip over Medium

Somebody may fall down the stairs Low

Sharp object will be used in the production, therefore, Medium
falling over could cause injury

Solutions

Ensure that care is taken when opening and closing the doors. If any liquid is spilt then it must be cleared up immediately to avoid people slipping over. All equipment and bags should be kept at the edge or on a table to make sure they aren’t in the way of people walking. A sharp object will be used in our trailer, therefore, the actor must never run with the object and will be extra careful when holding it. It is unlikely that they will injure themselves as they will be sitting on the floor, however, they must still act sensibly.

Risk Assessment Sheet

Working Title: Engayne Avenue

Writer/ Director: Hannah Jeffs, Laura Perry, Dale Stacey

Date: 20th October 2011

Location: Laura Perry’s house
9 Sheffield close, Potton

Possible Hazards

Risk: Level of Risk (high/ low)

Fingers getting trapped in doors Low

Falling over furniture Low

Equipment that may cause people to trip over Medium

Somebody may fall down the stairs Low

Solutions

Ensure that care is taken when opening and closing the doors. As long as people are sensible and cautious about where they are stepping, the risk of causing an injury is low. By keeping the equipment on a table or a chair it means that no one will trip over them. When walking up and down the stairs, people should be careful and hold onto the banister.
